How far along are you?
How are you feeling?
Unfortunately, quite sick. I’ve come into contact with a cold that has totally attacked my sinuses. I can’t breathe through my nose! It’s awful. I’ve attempted the Netipot, I’m constantly drinking tea and sipping soups – ginger, lemon and honey, peppermint, I take 4000 IUs of Vitamin D drops, steam showers and baths, I even put Vicks Vapour Rub on my feet with some bed socks last night. I’m trying everything I can think of. It’s so bad that my ears are ringing and I feel like I’m holding my breath underwater. If you have any tips (that don’t involve meds since I can’t take them during pregnancy) please please please send them my way in the comments below XOXO
Any weight gain?
1 pound this week putting me at 137 pds.
I think I may also have pregnancy congestion. I’m feeling so plugged up it’s absolutely a gong show. I have to eat with my mouth open!
… hmmmmmm, pretty bagged to be honest. Being bagged is a mood right?
Still a secret.
Do you miss anything?
It’s incredible how you take for granted the fact that you can breathe through both nostrils when you can – I definitely miss the feeling of NOT DROWNING in my muscus. Wow – descriptive… But it’s the truth.
Funny enough, it’s been ok. I elevate two pillows for the night and wear ‘Breathe Right’ strips. We also have a humidifier going full blast in our bedroom so maybe all of these things combined help a little bit.
Yoga twice this week. I just didn’t have the energy.
Best moment this week?
Spending time out with one of my girlfriends. We went for dinner. I also had an amazing date night with the hubby but I was starting to feel sick that evening so it was bittersweet.
What are you excited about?
We’re looking to put in an offer on a gorgeous new home! I’m so excited but also very cautious – mostly because it’s definitely a big step for us and I don’t want to mess it up in anyway. I LOVE this house. With the third baby coming along we realized that we want more space and a room for each child on the upstairs floor (vs having someone be banished to another level). This house ticks off so many of our must-haves and the schools in that zone are just awesome. SSOOOOOO, I really hope it happens.
I’m also looking forward to getting well again and taking some more maternity shots with a professional photographer who also happens to be an old friend! She’s incredibly talented so I’m really looking forward to the experience. I just really hope I’m feeling better by then.
Finally, I’m both excited and totally terrified – it’s Scarlet’s fourth birthday this Saturday!!! We are having her little nursery school friends over for a party, but I’m fearful that with my pregnancy hormones raging, I’m going to be a complete mess for the day! Should be fairly interesting. Haha!
Hope you have a fabulous week everyone!
